Unlocking the Mystery of Death: A Testimony of Prayer, Visions, and Biblical Truth

Death is a subject that makes almost everyone a little jumpy. Over the years, so many people have asked me deep questions about death that I simply couldn't explain. Faced with these unknowns, I did the only thing a believer can do: I got praying. I asked the Lord for a clear explanation.

What is death? How does it work? Is it a spirit, an angel, or some kind of being?

He replied to my prayers with two vivid visions and a profound word that reshapes how we understand the transition from this life to the next. What is incredible is how perfectly these revelations are backed up by the eternal truth of Christian Scripture.

The Two Visions of Death

Vision 1: The Creeping Tar (The Physical Nature)

The first vision was like a cloud on the ground that looked like black tar. It would move around slowly on earth and touch people. Once the tar touched someone, it would grow slowly on that person like some type of disease. The tar would eventually consume the person until they disappeared, and the cloud of tar would then move back into the cloud to touch more people.

Vision 2: The Flying Blanket (The Spiritual Nature)

The second vision was a large black blanket flying around in what looked like the wind, but it controlled its own path. As this blanket flew around, it wrapped around people, and then those people would disappear while the blanket continued to fly around.

Decoding the Revelation Through Scripture

After showing me these visions, the Lord spoke clearly to break down exactly what they meant. Here is what He revealed, aligned with the holy Word of God:

1. Death is an Entity and a Force, Not a Conscious Spirit

The Lord spoke: "This is how death is, the first vision you saw was the physical nature of death, it slowly creeps up on a person and kills them. Death is not a spirit and it's not a being, it is death."

Many people mistake death for a personal spirit or a sentient angel (like the cultural myth of the Grim Reaper). But the Bible treats death as a structural force, a cosmic reality, and a consequence of sin that holds dominion over physical matter until it is ultimately destroyed.

  • 1 Corinthians 15:26: "The last enemy to be destroyed is death." It is an enemy entity, a state of existence, not a standalone demon.

  • Revelation 20:14: "Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire." Death is a mechanism of the old creation that will be entirely discarded by God.

  • Genesis 3:19: The creeping, consuming tar reflects physical decay: "For dust you are and to dust you will return."

2. Death is a Conductor and a Channel for the Soul

The Lord spoke: "The second vision you saw is the nature of death in the Spiritual world. Death is a large blanket, it will cover you and take your spirit and soul with it. The black blanket is like a conductor it can send souls to me or it can send them to hell... Death can be a channel to transfer souls to the physical world and to the spiritual world."

In the physical world, death looks like a terrible end. But in the spiritual world, it operates like a network cable—a transitionary boundary layer that separates the spirit from the body and transfers it immediately to its eternal destination.

  • Ecclesiastes 12:7: The Bible defines physical death exactly like this—as a separation and transfer: “and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.”

  • Luke 16:22: Jesus illustrated this immediate transfer in the story of Lazarus, who died and was instantly "carried by the angels to Abraham’s side" (paradise).

3. The Prophetic Mystery of Elisha Explained

The Lord spoke: "Elisha knew how death worked that's why he lay on the boy's body three times like a blanket to bring the boys life back to him. The first time he asked me to bring his life back so I sent death to the boy, then the second time death lay around the boy like a blanket and the third time the soul and spirit of the boy was given back to the boy."

This part of the revelation sheds a stunning light on a literal, historical event recorded in 2 Kings 4:32-35. When the Shunammite woman's son died, the prophet Elisha didn't just pray from a distance:

"Then he got on the bed and lay on the boy, mouth to mouth, eyes to eyes, hands to hands. As he stretched himself out on him, the boy’s body grew warm. Elisha turned away and walked back and forth in the room and then got on the bed and stretched out on him once more. The boy sneezed seven times and opened his eyes."

Elisha understood the spiritual mechanism. By stretching himself over the child like a blanket, he was mirroring and pushing back the "blanket" of death, demanding via the power of God that the channel be reversed to transfer the boy's life back into his physical body.

Christ's Absolute Control Over the Blanket

The core of the gospel is that we do not have to bargain with death, because Jesus Christ has complete structural ownership over it.

The Lord spoke: "I alone have conquered death and I can control it... I have control over death because I conquered it through the cross, when I died as a human carrying the sin of everyman that ever was and that is still to come. Death couldn't transfer me any where as it had no power over me, so I could freely move between 3 places, that's how I overcame death. I control death, ask me and I will move death."

Because Jesus was completely sinless, physical death had no legal jurisdiction or power to hold Him captive. He broke the mechanism from the inside out.

  • Acts 2:24: "But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to be held by its grips."

  • Revelation 1:18: Jesus proclaims His total authority using the exact same truth: "I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades."

If someone is facing death and people pray to cast out a "spirit of death," the Lord clarifies that He answers because the blanket is covering them. But if the blanket has already passed through and taken the soul, we must petition the Sovereign Controller of the keys to command death to return the life, according to His perfect will.

Confronting the Core Problem: "Self" and Fear

The message concluded with a powerful warning about the root of fear: "But self is death and it attracts death don't be fooled only I can kill body, soul and spirit I have complete control. The fear of death is against me I do not give anyone fear, it is the work of the evil one, death has been overcome."

The Bible confirms that our carnal "self" (the fleshly ego operating independently of God) is already a state of spiritual death.

  • Romans 8:6: "The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace."

  • Matthew 10:28: Jesus explicitly warned to focus our awe on God rather than earthly fears: "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

Fear does not come from God. The enemy uses the fear of death to keep humanity in chains, but Christ broke those chains on Calvary.

  • 2 Timothy 1:7: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

  • Hebrews 2:14-15: Christ died so that "...by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death."

The Ultimate Promise: Resurrection

"If only the world would understand that I have overcome it meaning that just as I was resurrected from the dead so will you... all will be brought back to 'life' and seen again. This is when the world will be judged don't fear death because fear is self."

Death is not a permanent deletion; it is a temporary holding pattern. Just as Christ's physical body was raised, every human soul wrapped by that blanket will one day be brought back to stand before the Creator. For those in Christ, the blanket is nothing more than the vehicle that carries us straight into the arms of the King.

Do not fear the blanket. Fear is self—trust is in Jesus Christ.
